A Photographer on Long Island
I was naturally drawn to photography at a very young age. I saw beauty in everything, especially the sky. A camera was always in my hand. I went from polaroids to disposals, to digital. I finally got my first DSLR in 2009. I started doing some small side jobs, from birthdays to family shoots. I really loved taking photos whenever I had the chance. Summer of 2016 is when I really started teaching myself to master a really good landscape/sunset photo. At the same time, I started meeting other photographers on Instagram and we began meeting up to shoot together. Two of us quickly became 10! I was no longer shooting alone as I did for so many years. I still go out on my own too, which I always enjoy, but there’s nothing like sharing time with others that have the same passion as you. We all inspire each other in some way. I feel that a community is very important in one’s life, whether it be sharing a hobby or supporting like-minded people. It inspires me to want to keep learning and fine-tuning my photos.
